There’s no shortage of Cheers reruns or updated blogs on our Google Reader page, but we are making progress on the novel–so much progress, in fact, that there’ll be a brand-new chapter TOMORROW over on the Gardner Linn Fan Club! While you’re waiting, you can head on over there now and get caught up–44 chapters, plus bonus nonsense (like MP3s from The BabyShakers and the Official Rules of MiloBall), on the sidebar under the heading The Boy in the Tunnel.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, The Boy in the Tunnel is a novel in progress about a power struggle between the Department of University Housing and two (or three) secret societies at a Georgia college in 1997. It’s been described (by someone other than me) as “Harry Potter for intellectuals.” When it’s finished it will need to be heavily rewritten, but posting the first draft on the blog keeps me focused on getting it done, and some folks seem to enjoy it. Hopefully you will too.
