As promised, here is Part 45 of The Boy in the Tunnel. If you haven't yet read the first 44 chapters*, I'm afraid this isn't going to make much sense to you. Even if you have, you may want to refamiliarize yourself with chapters 14, 20, 38, and 42.

*A word of advice to new readers: ignore chapters i, iii, and 2. Also, chapter 2a was written after chapters 1-44, and so that thread of events that occurred between chapters 1 and 3 will be picked up on as I continue writing. I AM DOING MY BEST TO MAKE THIS AS CONFUSING AS POSSIBLE FOR YOU
