SO MUCH THINGS
1. What's going on in Gardnerlvania? Let David Byrne tell you all about it:
MP3: "Found a Job (Live)" by Talking Heads
2. Oh. Hell. Yes.

(Click to Iorek-size it!)
3. My new favorite blog is Pop Songs 07, from Fluxblog's Matthew Perpetua. It's the kind of idea that I wish I'd thought of, but he'll probably do it better.
4. A couple of recent long-ish album reviews/think-pieces in Flagpole:
We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank by Modest Mouse
Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
5. From the Vaults Dept.:
My anonymous source has come through again, with an actual live artifact from the University of Northwest Georgia's favorite band, The BabyShakers. This version of Brian Eno's "Needles in the Camel's Eye" comes from the band's first (and only) Back to School Covers Show at The Underground in downtown Collinstown, Georgia, in August 1997. The lineup is Alex and Xander Pratt on vocals and guitar, Audrey Jacobson on bass, and Patrick Dawkins on drums, with special guests Renee Goldsworthy on piano and Shawn Dabner on guitar. According to my source, the voice that can be heard most prominently in the audience is likely that of Roger Meadows, who frequently recorded shows at The Underground.

6. Happy Grassy de Mayo everybody!
